A solid pair of sandals! I always had an offset idea of these sandals being only a fashion choice. These sandals have so much value and potential for many adventures to come! I would say the fit is a bit big. I was hesitant to get the next size down. I normally wear a size 10, but not big enough to go a size down. They work just fine and does their job, just preference. Either than that, these are phenomenal sandals!

I got these for my boyfriend who was in need of some new chacos, I chose these ones because the traditional sole is a little hard on his feet so the Z cloud is perfect!

I'm a 9.5M and I sized down to a 9M. It was the right choice. Wearing it all day the first few times did cause some uncomfortable wear at the toe just below the ankle, so bring a pair of socks to put on after feeling the hot spots to save you from blisters if you're out all day in the them. It does break in over time and become more comfortable, but it takes some time. The real saver for me was to loosen the straps all the way to the buckle and distribute the slack across all the strap areas. It keeps the sandal on my foot but prevents some of the blister-causing rub. Had never worn a sandal that way but it just works with Chaco's. Also a huge Chacs-n-socks believer.

My Z/Yampa X2 sandals were finally worn out after a few years, so I wanted to get another pair. I love the double strap and the toe loop, so I knew I wanted to stick with that. This new Z/Cloud X2 iteration has the same strong support as the Yampas, but with a softer, anti-microbial footbed and easier to adjust straps. I was worried that because they are softer, they wouldn't have the strong arch support, but they do! (Not like the Z/Volv X2, another version I had previously tried and returned because the fit was slightly small and the arch support was lacking.) The patterns are great as usual - I got the cobalt blue and orange and it's vibrant and beautiful. Fit is the same as the Yampas- if you're a half size, would size down. Glad I ordered from Backcountry- great service and best price! I'm excited for the weather to be warm enough to wear these constantly!

These sandals are awesome! The double strap design makes for a really comfortable fit with some incredible adjust-ability for every foot shape and size. The durable nylon straps will last a long time and the Chacogrip rubber sole will be grippy for years. I'd recommend these sandals to anyone who is looking for a cute sandal that you can hike, paddle, and travel in.

Great shoe & I love the new foot bed feel, it is SO very comfortable, especially compared to the typical foot bed of other Chaco shoes. Had I known these were as different as night & day in the feel under foot I would not have purchased any other style other than the Z/Cloud. I have plantar fasciitis that has evolved over the years and walking has been very painful so only shoes that held my oversized custom orthotics helped alleviate pain when walking or standing. This meant no sandals ever :( until I discovered Chaco shoes. Granted it would be ideal if they were less sporty looking but they work & it is all that matters since before I could not wear anything other than sport/tennis shoes. As is normal, Chaco shoes do run small for anyone that wears a 1/2 size so be sure to order one size up. If only they made wides in the z/clouds I'd be even more happy !!! Customer Service with BC was exceptional and I am very pleased with their service, professionalism and quick delivery. Thank you for making me a an offer I couldn't refuse BC ~ I will be back . :)

So I wrote a review when I first got the shoes and really liked them... Nothing changed over the following 3 months or so. The good I essentially wore these every day all summer. I worked some 60hr weeks all in my Chaco's and they served me very well. I did just about everything in these shoes other than real hikes and I never had any issues with not having the toe loop or anything else on the shoes. The bad While I really like the z cloud for its comfort over the traditional Chaco footbed however it doesn't come without drawbacks. The soft z cloud material is a sort of open cell foam and it takes longer to dry out after getting them wet than the traditional Chacos would. Because of this they did develop a bit of an unpleasant odor after some time. On another note the softer material has worn away on the heels a bit (I'll include a photo) but it doesn't affect the shoes performance. Over all durability rating I'm going to have to give it a 6/5 because last summer I ate destroyed 2 pairs of shoes over the summer while doing the same job and same recreational stuff. (I am aware the 6 out of 5 isn't really realistic in a traditional rating system but it's for emphasis)

I love the classic Chaco, but these ones really changed my mind about Chacos. The Cloud footbed is so comfortable right out of the box, there is pretty much no break in period for these sandals. The Cloud footbed is a little softer than the traditional Chaco footbed. Softer also means less durable to me but I haven't seen any deterioration of the shoes thus far. I'd recommend these to anyone who enjoys a really comfy sandal and a nice breeze through the toes!

I got these as a gift for my Uncle who is very particular about his sandals, having some lower back and hip injuries, and he loves these sandals. The footbed on this provides a great amount of support but is also cushioned for maximum comfort. The only thing he noticed was that the strap is a bit long when tightened fully, but that is not a big deal. He is now hooked on chacos!

I am a Chaco newbie. I wanted a sandal that wouldn't click clack all the way down the stairs and across the street. A sandal that I could be comfortable in, get some color on my feet, and be able to spontaneously go for a hike or walk through a creek. These are perfect for all those things, and also a great alternative to wearing your slippers outside (just throw on your favorite socks and slide these bad boys on over them)

So this pair was for my boyfriend, because I was tired of him doing approaches in Nike slide sandals. Now, i don' t think he'd trade them . I have Chacos too, and we both wear them for days when it's hot hiking and approaching and it calls for staying cool and easy on-and-off shoes. The only thing I would warn of is that he usually wears a 10.5 and he takes a size 11 in Chacos. Size up!

Love the cloud footbed, it's so soft compared to my last pair of chacos. As a woman I was annoyed that the lugs on the women's version were not as deep as the lugs on men's so I opted for the men's. So far the men's are great, somewhat wider than the women's, which gives more support and stability. Usually wear size 10 in women's chacos, 9 in men's fits fine. Overall I love them!

These are my go to shoes in the summer. Doesn't matter if I'm going rafting, hiking, or climbing, these shoes are great! They fit pretty true to size, I usually wear an 11.5 and got a 12 because they don't have half sizes.

My hubby returned the classic series in his usual shoe size 10 wide and exchanged for the Z Cloud in a size 9 regular width (wide width wasn't available in his size) and not only is it a better fit but he prefers the lightweight Cloud sandal vs the heavier classic series and the regular width fit surprisingly well on his wide flat feet. Attractive looking sandals and the adjustable straps are integrated into the sole of the shoe so you can adjust all around the foot for the perfect fit. Haven't worn except in the house since it's winter here in the Midwest but we have high hopes for these sandals for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica where we plan to do some hiking. I googled the best rated hiking sandals and Chacos were in the top 10. This is his first pair. I think the high arch is going to take some getting used to but I think these will also be perfect for kayak trips in the summertime. Can't wait.

I have never had sandals in this strapping style be so comfortable!!! I wear them all day walking around at work or in town. Bottom is so soft and supportive. Look great with jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses. True to size for your regular chacos.

I ordered a couple pairs of Chaco’s in the same week, because I decided my summer footwear selection just did cut it. I was looking a few comfortable options, with a touch of cute. As the other reviewers are commented these offer both! Definitely a win for the summer wardrobe. I found the leather super soft right out of the box. No need for break in and sizing right on!

I walked Rome and parts of Italy with these sandles only for 2 weeks. Not only are they comfortable for long-term wear, they go with everything. While more straps look like they might cause discomfort in more places, they don't! (I have a wide foot) There are two tiny drawbacks. One is putting them on takes time because there is a small buckle to work with, makes taking them on and off a tiny hassle. The other is the coating on the sole did peel in the second week and began tearing on both tops of the sandal right above my toes so the tears are visible. Otherwise durable, cute and highly recommended! Side note, I am regularly a size 7 but they were too big, so I sized down to a 6 and am more than happy.

I get these for my kids every summer and they wear them for everything! They are so easy to clean just throw them in the wash and they come out like new. After a whole summer of wearing them in the dirt and mud and everything in between they still look brand new. They are comfortable and easy for them to put on. Fit is true to size

This is my third pair of chacos. The other pairs lasted anywhere from 3-5 years. Super convenient for traveling, hiking with water, in between climbs and all sorts of other activities. There is no break in period with the new footbeds and I only have good things to say about the design. If I ever find myself traveling, camping or being outdoors anywhere without chacos, I think to myself don't do that again. Comfy, long lasting, minimal looking but you can live in these.
